White Bear Lake is home to a variety of fish and has kept fishing enthusiasts captivated for years. As in many Minnesota lakes, you will find walleye, muskies, northern pike, panfish and largemouth bass, of average size. Mornings and evenings are a great time to fish for walleye and muskies, and reeling in a large fish always creates a big smile. Happily, for all who love to fish the lake, the DNR regularly stocks walleye and, occasionally, muskies. You can usually find panfish and bass hiding in the weeds and vegetation. You are also likely to find crappies, smallmouth bass, perch, carp and a variety of bullheads, shiners and sunfish.
